Anambra Community Takes Justice into Their Hands: Suspected Kidnapper Burnt Alive! (Photos)

On Wednesday, May 3, some residents of Ogbunike community in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State took the law into their own hands by burning a suspected kidnapper alive. 

The mob had reportedly rescued a female victim from the kidnappers’ den. According to a statement released by DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, the kidnappers had been operating in Ogidi, a neighboring community in Idemili North Local Government Area. 

They had allegedly kidnapped the lady and were transporting her to their hideout when they were apprehended by the vigilantes who blocked their path.

Although the police were alerted, they were unable to prevent one of the suspects from being set ablaze by the mob.
